The dynamic behaviour of timber concrete composites
Timber-concrete floor structures are often applied for bridges, renovation and rehabilitation of old timber floors. These composite floor elements could be relevant for some type of designs due to their improved effective bending stiffness and modal mass compared to normal conventional timber construction with joists. Although there is a growing market for these composite structures, the dynamic behavior has not often been studied. The aim of this study is to give more insight in the eigenfrequency of TCC beams and further improved vibrational aspects.
