3D concrete printed Pedastrian/cycling bridge
Small pedestrian or cycling bridges are a typical example of structures that are most of the time placed in hard to reach places with a challenging environment.
Concrete is a suitable material for these pedestrian/cycling bridges, however building it in a traditional way is not environmental friendly. 3D concrete printing could therefore be a good solution, where only in the places concrete is really needed it could be printed. Without the extensive use of formwork.
The proposed research question; What are the current possibilities for 3D concrete printing a pedestrian/cycling bridge with optimized material use?
