Multi-Disciplinary Building Optimisation
Building optimisation is a field of active research. Researchers in different disciplines of the built environment succeed to improve domain specific problems and perfomances. Single disciplinary optimisation may however often yield one sided results, e.g. flat buildings for structural performance or spherical envelopes for building physics.
The research aims to find an optimisation method to perform multi-disciplinary building optimisation for a building spatial design. During the colloquium it will become clear what complicates such optimisation. A strategy to handle the optimisation problem, by considering data structures, is then presented. Finaly, some specific properties of the strategy are discussed.
