Quality engineering and control for digital fabrication with concrete

Automation of concrete fabrication processes allows for improving the quality of the end product, which is essential to enabling high productivity and reducing the product's environmental footprint. In this regard, the building industry, and particularly the concrete industry, is lacking. To close this gap, new technologies have emerged over the past decade, of which 3D concrete printing has received the most attention from industry and academia. In the thesis, new methods have been developed to analyze, improve, and monitor the quality of an automated concrete production process.

The complete thesis can be found here.

The official defense ceremony lasts exactly from 13:30 to 14:30. Therefore, you are requested to be in the room no later than 13:20 hrs.
