Experimental and Numerical Investigation of the Bending Strength of Grey Cast Iron Columns

Grey cast iron is a material that is not used in construction anymore nowadays. However, historical cast iron structures need to be re-evaluated in terms of structural safety when they are renovated. This thesis focuses on the investigation of the bending strength of cast iron columns used in canopies at Leeuwarden train station.
