Micro Analysis of the pull out behaviour of PVA fibres

Research to incorporating fibres in 3DCP technology is promising to improve mechanical properties of printed structures. Poly vinyl alcohol (PVA) fibres are a promising option due to mechanical and practical reasons. While several research have been conducted on the influence of PVA fibres on macro level, little is known on micro level. This research is focusing on the mechanical interaction between a single embedded fibre and the surrounding cemetitious matrix. During the presentation the methodology and the first results will be discussed. Interested? Feel free to join the colloquium.
