Construction site visit Efteling - Danse Macabre
A medieval abbey is being built in Huyverwoud in Kaatsheuvel, where the new Danse Macabre attraction will open from 2024. To start the new academic year, we will go to theme park Efteling for a construction site visit of the new attraction Danse Macabre! It is a rare opportunity to go backstage at a theme park, so join us at this very cool tour. We will start the excursion with a presentation from Efteling about the design of the attraction, followed by a presentation about the structural design given by WSP. Afterwards, we will get a tour by Efteling and WSP on the construction site. To conclude the activity, we will have a little drink with WSP and Efteling.
Some important remarks about the activity:
• The visit does not include entrance to the rest of the park.
• We ask you to bring your own safety shoes. In case you don’t have safety shoes, you can borrow a pair of shoes from the structures lab.
• The capacity of the activity is limited. Only 20 students can participate, where some spots are reserved for the organisation. In case more than 20 students subscribe, lots will be drawn on Tuesday 5th of September at 10 AM. Each subscriber will be informed by email immediately after the draw.
