Van Rossum Excursion
On Wednesday the 22nd of May, we will venture to Rotterdam for an excursion with Van Rossum!
On this day, we will visit the BaanTower and AIR. The BaanTower will be a new residential tower in the Baankwartier in the center of Rotterdam. The residential tower will be approximately 150 meters high with 50 floors and 427 homes in the rental segment. This structure of 150 meters faces many challenges, such as high wind loads and complicated foundation design.
AIR is an icon of innovation in the vibrant heart of Rotterdam. The existing V&D & Hudson's Bay building will be transformed into a mixed-use building. With two supermarkets and a bicycle shed in the basement, retail on the ground floor and offices above, it will be a place where working and meeting come together. Van Rossum is responsible for the structural design of 2 additional floors on this existing building.
We will gather at the Eindhoven Station at 11:30, after which we will Arrive at the Van Rossum office at 13:00. Here we will be welcomed with free lunch and a presentation, after which we will go to the two building sites. We'll end the day with free dinner in Rotterdam and we expect to be back in Eindhoven at around 20:00.
