Canceled: Batavierenrace

Last year KOers participated for the first time in many years again at the Batavierenrace and became 97 out of 349! This year we are participating again!

Every year in April or May this largest relay race in the world is organized . The 48th edition of the Batavierenrace will start on Friday evening 1 May 2020. The route runs from the centre of Nijmegen, via Germany, the quiet Achterhoek and the Oude Markt in the heart of Enschede to the campus of the University of Twente.

The total walking distance is over 175 kilometres and is divided into 25 stages (16 men's and 9 women's stages). There are approximately 8,500 athletes participating each year which are all students. The Batavierenrace owes its entry in the Guinness Book of Records to this enormous number of participants for many years.

By the way: it doesn't matter if you are a good runner or not. It is also a fun weekend and there are different kinds of stages with different amount of kilometers.
