KOers goes Digital

Unfortunately, it is not possible anymore to organize activities at the university at the moment. But to prevent you from missing all the fun, we are organizing KOers goes Digital! KOers goes Digital is the overall name for the activities that will be organized that you can visit from home. For now, there are three ideas, namely for the KOKO, Lunch Lectures and the drinks. Right now, we are working on these ideas to actually realize them. Additionally, this general event will be updated with new information about new online activities.

All KOers goes Digital events will make use of Cisco WebEx. If you subscribe at the KOers website for an event, you will receive a link in WhatsApp. With this link, you go to Cisco WebEx and you are able to join the event, without making an account! Cisco WebEx works on laptop, tablet and mobile phones. For the tablet and mobile phone version, you need to download the app, you can find the app by searching for Cisco WebEx.

KOKO

Every week there is a KOKO (KOers KOffietijd) during the lunch break on Thursday. From this week on the KOKO will be online. To make the KOKO even more fun, we are going to have a game competition. Every KOKO a different game will be played. The game will be a secret till the KOKO. When you win the game, you are the winner of the week and you earn 2 points. But there is more! There will also be an overall winner at the end of the quarantine. This person will get a very cool price!

Lunch Lectures

Also, the lunch lectures will be online with Cisco WebEx! Cisco WebEx works on laptop, tablet and mobile phones. For the tablet and mobile phone version, you need to download the app, you can find the app by searching for Cisco WebEx meet. The lunch lectures will be the same as you are used to. A company will tell us something about an interesting subject and you are able to ask questions during and after the lecture. Hope to see you there!

Drinks

Last but not least, there will be online drinks! The first drink will be on Thursday the 9th of April 2020 in quartile 3. During the drink, there will be a theme that will be announced in the event of the drink. This is the week before your exams, so everyone could use some relaxing time besides all the studying :)

Point System

With every event you participate in, you can earn points. By joining the KOKO you will get 0.5 points, for a drink 1.0 point and for a lunch lecture 5.0 point. You can hand in these points during the first month at the KOershoek (Vertigo Floor 2) when the university is open again. If you are entitled to a lunch, you can pick it up during the indicated times at the KOKO. For this, you must have indicated in advance that you want to pick up your lunch package.
