Wonderwoods Lunch Lecture
The redevelopment of the surrounding area of the Utrecht Central Station is steadily progressing. Especially at the Beurskwartier at the Jaarbeurs side, many new projects are planned. Right beside the Galaxy Tower, at the Croeslaan, two 'green' towers are manifesting. The two structures, which are connected by means of a pedestrian bridge, will reach heights of 70m and 105m. They will have a green facade, with plants and trees originating from the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. Around 360 trees and 10 000 shrubs will be part of the facade, roof terraces, and several indoor gardens.
Van Rossum is involved in the design and has the role of primary structural engineer in this project, of which the construction is planned for before December 2020.
