Hereby, I want to invite everyone to attend my end colloquium about Sustainable Connection Designs for Filament Wound Structures.

Current Filament wound structures rely on heavy, over-dimensioned steel plates that contradict the lightweight and design flexibility logic of filament winding.

My research explored the development of a sustainable connection system that enhances geometric flexibility. In order to produce these connection systems, a modular fabrication setup was created, developed by design and fabrication constraints. The design process consisted of numerous iterations, eventually leading to connection designs that were experimentally tested. The question therefore guiding this study is;

How can sustainable connection systems for filament wound structures be developed to promote geometric flexibility using a modular fabrication setup developed by design and fabrication constraints?
