Timber excursion to DERIX and Isobouw

On Wednesday, April 22, KOers is organizing an excursion in collaboration with the course Advanced Timber Structures. During the excursion, we’ll show you the practical applications of building materials through a visit to two different companies. Halfway through, a free lunch will be provided.
In the morning, we’ll visit DERIX in Niederkrüchten, Germany. DERIX specializes in CLT and glulam products and has been involved in numerous interesting projects, which they will tell us all about. During the visit, we will receive a presentation and a tour of the factory. Sustainability also plays an important role within this company.
In the afternoon, we’ll travel back to the Netherlands to visit the Isobouw factory in Someren. Here, they produce EPS insulation materials. During the visit, we’ll learn more about the production process and the application of insulation materials.
We’ll gather in the morning at 08:30, after which we’ll travel by bus to our two locations. Make sure to be on time. We expect to be back around 16:00, with possible delays. 
Please note that participants are required to bring their own safety shoes.
