Experimental and numerical investigation of shrinkage-induced cracking in 3DCP

This thesis examines the shrinkage behavior of 3DCP and its impact on cracking risk under restrained conditions. Due to its unique mix design and lack of formwork, 3DCP is more susceptible to shrinkage than conventional concrete. An experimental setup has been developed to track internal stresses over time. The goal is to develop a finite element model that can simulate moisture transport and stress relaxation under restraint. This will help assess the risk of cracking and support a more durable design of 3DCP structures.
