Lunchlecture TNO

The Galecopper Bridge is one of the most important bridges in the Dutch road network. An essential component of this bridge is the steel stay cables.
During this lunch lecture, Stefan Verdenius, a researcher at TNO, will talk about the various studies that TNO has carried out to demonstrate the structural safety of these cables.
This ranges from the acoustic detection of wire breaks to testing the so-called bypasses that are required during cable replacement.
