SCIA Workshop

SCIA Engineer is a structural analysis and design tool used in several project courses. This workshop will help you get started with the software and apply it to a structural design project.

The workshop consists of two parts:
●    A morning session (09:30 – 12:30), during which the basic functionalities of SCIA Engineer are explained.
●    An afternoon session (13:00 – 16:30), during which topics relevant for the ‘Design Project‘ course are discussed. 

There will be a lunch break between the sessions, with free lunch!

 

In quartile 2 the course 'Geotechnics, soil mechanics and structural dynamics' is given. This course also includes an assignment with SCIA, so we largely encourage students following this course in quartile 2 to attend the workshop in the morning.

 

Make sure you have the most recent version of SCIA installed before the workshop. You can install the newest version here. You will also need a student license for SCIA, which you can request here.
