SCIA Workshop

SCIA Engineer is a popular structural analysis and design tool, and using it is often a major part of project courses. In this workshop, you will be shown detailed steps of setting up a structural model. The workshop is composed of two parts:

  • In the morning (9:30 – 13:00), you will be taught the basic functionalities for structural modelling with SCIA engineer.
  • At 13:00 there will be a lunch break with free lunch!
  • In the afternoon (13:30-17:00), focus is on non-linearity & stability, tailored to the project ‘Large span structures’.

In quartile 2 the course 'Geotechnics, soil mechanics and structural dynamics' is given. This course also includes an assignment with SCIA, so we largely encourage students following this course in quartile 2 to attent the workshop in the morning.

Also, make sure you have the most recent version of SCIA installed before the workshop. You can install the newest version here.
You will also need a student license for SCIA, which you can request here.

You can choose to attend one or both parts of the workshop. For either option, you can subscribe below.
